Blog Tour: The Rest Is Still Unwritten & Bookish

Apologies for the combined post! Just got back in from the US so have missed a couple of days’ worth of action on the Twinmaker front. YALLFest was awesome and I’ve been really excited by the feedback from people who bought the book there. In the meantime I’ve been editing Crashland at every available opportunity. Busy and most excellent times.

First up, Rachel from The Rest is Still Unwritten interviewed me for her blog:

“Sadly, I don’t remember where the idea came from or when exactly it happened, but I do remember talking about it with Scott Westerfeld, author of the Uglies series. We’re both looking at similar things in different ways, with hints of dystopian futures and stuff, so his input was really helpful.”

Then Bookish in the US kindly reviewed the book and is offering a giveaway:

Twinmaker offers an action-packed, dramatic and twisty ride. With every page turned, you learn something new – often disturbing or shocking – about the world and the technology that rules it. And you get really curious. You want to get down to the bottom of it all and find out what’s really going on here. You begin to question characters and their motives, second guess them and wonder who is really the “bad guy” here. It’s an addictive and absorbing read for sure and, while at times the pacing was a little bit too slow for me, I did enjoy it a lot. Especially the thorough and complex worldbuilding, the fascinating technology and all the awesome scientific details. All Sci Fi fans will love this one for sure!”

I’m constantly amazed and grateful for the thought bloggers put into their reviews, even if they don’t like the book. Theirs is a labor of love, just like mine. More power to them!
